Nokia announced that Telin, an Indonesian international telecommunications company, has chosen Nokia’s optical transmission solution to connect data centers within Singapore and create a highly available, reliable, and scalable backbone network covering the entire island. This deployment will improve the quality of data center network services and seamlessly expand according to customer needs.

Telin’s data center in Singapore has a superior geographical location and achieves island wide coverage through dedicated high-speed interconnection, providing local lowest latency services. With Nokia’s latest generation of pluggable coherent optical technology, industry-leading 1830 GX compact modular platform, and open optical line system, Telin brings upgraded data center connectivity to Singapore. The new infrastructure will provide efficient and scalable connectivity for Telin’s entire network in Singapore.

Telin Singapore CEO Indarto Nata said, “Telin has always been committed to providing customers with leading connectivity solutions, connecting Singapore closely with the world. Our robust infrastructure includes strategic partnerships with multiple technology giants and ultra large scale cloud service providers, who are crucial for the expansion of our network. Relying on Nokia’s industry-leading solutions, both parties jointly achieve network modernization, service expansion, and on-demand scaling, while meeting the growing bandwidth demands of customers and reducing overall cost of ownership. ”

Ron Johnson, senior vice president and general manager of Nokia Optical Network, said: “Singapore has always been a global business hub. To ensure that it will continue to play this role in the future, Telin and Nokia are working together to build an excellent data center Internet, consolidate the Singapore digital base, and prepare for the continuous growth of the AI era.”
