According to the latest report from Dell’Oro Group, the global broadband access equipment market revenue reached $4.5 billion in the second quarter of 2026, a 3% year-on-year decline. Despite rising equipment and CPE costs due to shortages of components such as memory, North American telecom and cable operators achieved growth against the trend this quarter, continuing to invest in fiber and DOCSIS 4.0 network upgrades.

Jeff Heynen, Vice President of the Dell’Oro Group, stated: “North American operators are rapidly expanding and deploying fiber-optic networks, with PON equipment spending achieving year-over-year growth for three consecutive quarters, similar to the boom period of 2022. Clearly, operators are once again procuring equipment in advance to counteract the ongoing rise in average selling prices for OLTs and ONTs.”北美运营商 的图像结果

Other highlights reported:

Residential Wi-Fi 7 router shipments continued to grow year-on-year by 62%, driven by low-cost dual-band devices shipped from China and Southeast Asia, as well as early procurement by US carriers to support multi-gigabit services.

Cable TV operators modernize their networks by continuously procuring remote PHY devices and remote OLTs, with the combined revenue of these two platforms increasing by 63% year-on-year.

FWA CPE shipments decreased by 12% year-on-year, primarily due to the slowdown in new equipment sales in the North American market.
