On January 27, according to foreign media reports, according to Barclays analysts, Apple plans to release the first iPhone supporting Wi-Fi 6E in 2021.

Other news said that Apple supplier Skyworks will provide various components for iPhone 13, including Wi-Fi 6E power amplifier.

Analysts said that chip maker Broadcom will also benefit from the adoption of Wi-Fi 6E by Apple and Samsung this year. Earlier this month, Samsung launched a new Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone based on Broadcom chips that supports Wi-Fi 6E.

Compared with Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E has stronger performance, lower latency, higher speed, and supports 6GHz frequency band. The additional spectrum will provide more airspace than the existing 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi, thereby increasing bandwidth and reducing interference to devices that support Wi-Fi 6E. Currently, Apple iPhone 11, iPhone 12 and the second-generation iPhone SE all support Wi-Fi 6.

Earlier this year, the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) passed a regulation that allows the 1200mhz spectrum in the 6GHz band to be used without a license, paving the way for the introduction of Wi-Fi 6E-enabled devices in the United States.

Apple is expected to release iPhone 13 series products in September.
