As a global leader in innovative connectivity solutions for high-speed computing and network applications, TE Connectivity (TE) has launched its new antenna product portfolio for Wi-Fi 6E, which supports three frequency bands, including the new 6 GHz frequency band. TE’s antenna solution integration expertise unleashes the power of Wi-Fi 6E’s extensive additional spectrum, enabling new applications and services, greater network flexibility and faster speed, and reducing terminal equipment and applications delay.
2.4 GHz and 5 GHz are currently widely used Wi-Fi frequency bands. As the use of connected devices continues to increase, these existing Wi-Fi bands have become crowded. The new 6 GHz frequency band can provide the additional bandwidth and wider channels normally required. TE’s new antenna for Wi-Fi 6E applications covers three frequency bands: 2400-2483.5 MHz, 5150-5875 MHz and 5925-7125 MHz. The new 6 GHz frequency band can accommodate 14 additional 80 MHz channels or seven additional 160 MHz channels, bringing a wider range of available channels that can provide a wide continuous net spectrum for WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) communications. The new product portfolio has antenna products that can be used on PCB, wired PCB and wired FPC. It supports multiple wireless standards, and can customize cable lengths and connector types, which can speed time to market and provide system design flexibility. TE’s RF Competence Center supports the creation of efficient Wi-Fi 6E MIMO antenna configurations and optimized throughput.
