Samsung Network announced that it had delivered the first batch of 24000 5G radio devices conforming to the Open RAN standard to DISH Networks to launch a national 5G network in the United States. Samsung also provides 5G vRAN software solutions for DISH’s 5G network in the country.
The two companies announced a multi-year agreement in May 2022. Since then, Samsung Network has been providing 5GO-RAN radio devices to DISH to expand its network infrastructure. The two companies have cooperated for nearly a year in infrastructure installation, testing and site launch. Samsung provides 5G radio devices compatible with vDU (Virtual Distributed Unit), vCU (Virtual Central Unit) and OpenRAN. Samsung also customized 5G radio devices compatible with dual-band and tri-band OpenRAN for the requirements of DISH.

SamsungDISH 5G is gradually covering 70% of the US population. DISH Wireless and Samsung Network will continue to cooperate soon to promote 5G network in the United States. 5G network will provide millions of American consumers with fast and reliable internet access.
