Chang Tiewei answered the media’s questions about China’s electronic application scenarios, product innovation progress and development direction, saying that in recent years, with the continuous development and penetration of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, Big data and mobile Internet, the pace of upgrading of electronic products has significantly accelerated. From color TV sets and computers to wireless headsets and VR glasses, product innovation has emerged one after another, and new consumption hotspots have also emerged.1
According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in the first half of this year, the demand for smart consumer goods in China continued to grow, driving a 12% increase in the added value of industries related to smart consumer equipment manufacturing. Among them, the production of various virtual reality devices increased by 58% year-on-year.
From the feedback from the market, which electronic products can truly meet the needs of the people for high-quality life, adapt to new demand scenarios such as digitization, intelligence, and aging, and which products have new market space. Especially, the scale of middle-income groups in China is constantly expanding, and the demand for emerging electronic products is also constantly increasing.
Regarding the next development direction, Chang Tiewei pointed out that according to the observation of the National Development and Reform Commission, there are three preliminary aspects:
