Recently, NVIDIA and IREN Limited announced a strategic partnership to accelerate the deployment of next-generation AI infrastructure.

As part of the partnership:

-NVIDIA and IREN plan to support the deployment of up to 5 gigawatts of AI infrastructure consistent with NVIDIA DSX architecture in IREN’s global data center project pipeline over time.

-NVIDIA and IREN will collaborate to deploy NVIDIA accelerated computing in the DSX AI factory to expand the reach of AI native, startup, and enterprise customers.

-As part of the partnership, IREN has granted NVIDIA a five-year right to purchase up to 30 million shares of common stock at an exercise price of $70 per share, thereby obtaining up to $2.1 billion in investment rights, subject to specific conditions including regulatory oversight.

This partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of large-scale AI factories by combining NVIDIA’s DSX AI factory architecture with IREN’s expertise in power, land, data center, GPU deployment, and infrastructure operations.

Future deployments are expected to be concentrated at IREN’s 2 GW Sweetwater campus in Texas, which the two companies anticipate will become the flagship deployment project for NVIDIA DSX architecture.
