Nokia announced that Mada Communications (Mada), a telecom service provider providing enterprise solutions and services, will deploy its award-winning Wavence microwave solution. This will modernize Mada’s transportation network and provide a better experience for customers in Kuwait.
According to the agreement, Nokia will replace Mada’s existing transmission network with Nokia Wavence microwave solution. In addition to improving network performance, this will help motors simplify their network operation and improve network economy. Motors will benefit from seamless installation and lower transmission network power consumption.
The Nokia Wavence microwave portfolio includes innovative, compact, high-capacity ultra-wideband transceivers designed to support service providers by providing high-quality wireless backhaul connections with high availability and reliability. Wavence products support backhaul and forward evolution, with gigabit capacity, low latency characteristics and industry-leading RF output power, which can be flexibly deployed.
Hadad Al Marzouq, CEO of Mada, said: “We are pleased to cooperate with Nokia, the global technology leader, to modernize our transportation network. Nokia’s industry-leading Wavence microwave solution will help us provide truly differentiated services that cannot be achieved by existing transmission networks and reduce energy consumption.”
Rima Manna, Vice President of Nokia Middle East Marketing, said: “Nokia’s Wavence product portfolio has become a market-leading transportation solution designed to help service providers improve performance and ensure that their investment can withstand the test of the future. We look forward to helping Mada modernize its transmission network to support advanced packet networks. We believe that this project marks the beginning of a new long-term partnership with Mada.”
