Nokia announced that it had completed the first 600G DWDM network with Vietnam Telecom, the largest telecom service provider in Vietnam and one of the top 20 telecom companies in the world. The network uses Nokia’s innovative PSE-V hyper-coherent optical engines (PSE-Vs) to transmit 600Gb/s channels in the C-band and connect the main core sites of Vietnam Telecom. This new data center interconnection solution will enable Viettel to meet the future demand for 5G, cloud, low latency, high capacity, and strong network, as well as the growing demand of consumers for online video and Internet use.

ViettelIn this project, Nokia PSE-Vs is deployed on the Nokia 1830 photon service switch platform, which will enable Viettel to expand the total network capacity to 25.2Tbps in the C-band. In addition, the existing C-band system can be seamlessly upgraded to the C+L-band by adding L-band components, which will double the network capacity.
