Nokia announced that its integrated charging software solution has been selected by Hrvatski Telekom to help Croatian operators realize the modernization of online charging and better use of network monetization opportunities to unlock new revenue streams.
The deal expanded Nokia’s partnership with Hrvatski Telekom, which is already using a variety of other Nokia products, including its Voice Core and other software applications.
As a containerized, micro-service-based solution, Nokia Convergence Billing (NCC) will provide real-time rating and charging for voice, data and SMS/MMS services used by Hrvatski Telecom pre-paid and post-paid users.
NCC uses the charging configurator, which uses the intuitive business user interface to quickly create new pricing and market quotations, reducing the time required to attract new customers and explore new business opportunities.
Nokia’s charging solutions support the world’s leading communication service providers and more than 1 billion users.
Boris Drilo, chief technology officer of Hrvatski Telekom, said: “The cooperation with Nokia and its NCC solution provides Hrvatski Telekom with a flexible and configurable monetization solution, which ultimately enables us to better meet the growing demand of customers for network applications and generate new revenue streams.”
Erez Sverdlov, vice president of cloud and network services market for Nokia Europe, said: “We are very happy to provide new functions for Hrvatski Telecom to promote network monetization opportunities. NCC enables communication service providers to better control their software application environment, and shorten the time to market in a cost-effective way.”
