Nokia has signed a five-year agreement with Fibros, a leading broadband service provider in Northern Ireland and Cumbria, to deploy the Nokia Deepfield solution in its growing network after successful trials. This collaboration will enhance Fiberus’ ability to protect its network from network threats such as DDoS attacks and manage the growing demand for high-quality broadband services.
As Fibrous expands its network, which has connected over 100000 customers and provided connectivity to nearly 400000 locations, the Nokia Deepfield solution will provide critical network analysis capabilities, allowing Fibrous to gain a deeper understanding of the nature of the traffic flowing through its infrastructure. This will enable Fiberus to optimize network resources and ensure that customers continue to receive reliable high-performance broadband.

The utilization rate of fiber to the home services (including 2Gbps products) has reached 50%, which will drive the rapid growth of fiber to the home networks. In addition, the scalability of Nokia’s Deepfield solution will enable Fibrous to manage future business expansion cost effectively, such as 25/50/100G PON technology.
