Nippon Electric Corporation and its ecosystem partners A10 Networks, Adtran (formerly ADVA), Fortinet and Juniper Networks have launched the value-added xHaul solution suite to accelerate the monetization of the transmission network of operators in the 5G era. The new solution suite will enable the traditional IP and optical transmission network to bring additional value through enhanced functions, including data center network, network security and automation, to maximize the profitability of operators.
In view of the transition to 5G, xHaul, the backbone of the entire network, needs to adapt to industry transformation, such as opening RAN to achieve flexible networks, edge computing and network slicing to achieve monetization, multi domain automation to simplify operations, and rigorous security measures to protect the network from increasing risks.

In order to help operators solve the new needs of the development of xHaul network, NEC has adopted a unique overall best approach to transcend the isolated proposition that is prevalent in the industry today.
