Finally, Huawei HarmonyOS will be launched on mobile phones.

It is reported that Huawei will hold the HarmonyOS and Huawei’s full-scene new product launching conference at 20 o’clock on June 2nd, and will release a short advertisement showing the mobile phone boot screen. It is expected that it will officially announce the use of Harmony mobile phones. At present, this operating system is only used for terminal products such as smart screens, wearables, and car machines.

At Huawei Developer Conference (HDC.Together) last year, Huawei’s consumer business CEO Yu Chengdong said that in this year, Huawei mobile phones will be fully upgraded to support Harmony. On the evening of February 22nd, when the new generation of folding flagship MateX2 was released, Huawei announced that Harmony will be launch its mobile phone in April, and MateX2 will be the first batch of upgrades. Although there is suspicion of skipping votes, a small-scale upgrade of the current public beta version has begun.

HarmonyOS is a future-oriented, IoT-oriented, and full-scenario-oriented distributed operating system created by Huawei. Unlike many people’s imagination, Harmony is not the second Android or iOS; it has many different possibilities. Utilizing innovative distributed software bus, distributed security, distributed hardware virtualization and other technical features, Harmony has built unified operating system ecology, turning various hardware devices into a “super terminal”, and mobile phones are only a part of it. At the same time, it provides developers with a full set of integrated development environment, which greatly improves development efficiency and enables all types of equipment to have complete and consistent interfaces.

Compared to feature phones with one thousand people, smart phone consumers can install software on demand, which has gained wider recognition, which has promoted the vigorous development of the mobile phone-based mobile industry. What HarmonyOS will build is the third stage-calling and combining the software and hardware capabilities of different devices on demand.  Even if consumers switch scenes, the smart experience can be migrated across terminals and flow seamlessly.

Huawei’s rotating chairman Xu Zhijun disclosed at the Huawei China Ecological Conference 2021 on May 17 that in 2021, Huawei’s “1+8” equipment will be fully upgraded to the HarmonyOS. It is expected that the overall scale will exceed 200 million by the end of the year. Third-party partners are fully adapted, including smart home, health equipment, travel, education, and various terminals equipped with Harmony will also exceed 100 million.

In addition, more than 1,000 smart hardware partners, more than 50 module and chip solution suppliers, and more than 280 APP manufacturers have participated in the construction of the Harmony ecosystem.
