According to official news from Huawei Wireless Network, China Telecom’s Beijing branch has recently partnered with Huawei to launch China Telecom’s first commercial pilot project for 5G FWA (Fixed Wireless Access).
It is reported that this service aims to provide a high-speed internet experience comparable to fiber optic and quickly solve broadband access problems in areas where fiber optic has not yet reached. The pilot verification results show that the downlink speed of 5G FWA on the user end can be comparable to 300M wired broadband, and the uplink experience can also reach the level of 100Mbps, easily meeting the diversified needs of home users, such as high-definition TV viewing, large-scale online games, online education, and video monitoring.
5G FWA (fixed wireless access) is an Internet service that uses 5G wireless technology to provide users with home Internet connectivity, rather than through copper or optical fiber.
