During the MWC26 Barcelona period, Huawei collaborated with leading global operators and ecosystem partners to create the Mobile Network for Driving AI innovation project. With mature project operations and feasible global innovation cases, it successfully won the GSMA Foundry Excellence Awards 2026. This award is a highly recognized recognition by GSMA for the technological innovation and industrial synergy value demonstrated by this project in the evolution of mobile AI networks. It also signifies that building a network with multi-dimensional capabilities such as large uplink, large capacity, and low latency for mobile AI applications has become a global industry consensus.
AI is experiencing explosive growth, not only penetrating into people’s daily work and life, but also driving technological innovation and industrial upgrading at an unprecedented speed. Mobile AI has introduced a new interactive experience, reshaped the traffic structure of the network, significantly improved social productivity, and brought new development opportunities to operators’ networks and operations. To this end, Huawei has partnered with several leading global telecom operators to establish a mobile AI network innovation project, jointly exploring the value application scenarios of mobile AI. Through GigaGreen series innovative product solutions and key technologies such as big uplink, Huawei has created a multi-dimensional network with excellent capabilities to meet the new business needs of mobile AI and unlock new business opportunities. At present, the project has been successfully implemented in markets such as China, the Middle East, and the Asia Pacific region, setting a benchmark for network construction in the era of mobile AI.
GSMA Foundry is a platform created by GSMA for cross industry collaboration and business development, aimed at unleashing the value of interconnectivity. It brings together GSMA members and telecom industry participants to quickly develop realistic solutions to industry challenges, foster new ideas through initial commercial trials, and promote validated solutions globally, shaping the digital future.
