On July 16, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying held a regular press conference.

A reporter asked a question that US Secretary of State Pompeo said many times recently that excluding Huawei means joining the ranks of clean nations. What does the spokesperson’s comment about this?

“The Prismatic Gate Event has long revealed that the United States is the largest and veritable hacker empire on the planet, and some American companies such as Apple and Cisco have admitted that there are security holes and backdoors in their equipment a few years ago. Almost all foreign government enterprises and individuals, including allies, carry out undiscriminated illegal secret theft and surveillance activities, including citizens of their own countries, which have no secrets at all, this is an open fact.” Hua Chunying pointed out that Huawei provides services to more than 170 countries, and no country has ever said that there is a security problem, nor has any country come up with evidence that the products of Huawei have security threats or backdoors.

Taking the United Kingdom as an example, Huawei said that it invested in the establishment of a network security testing center in the United Kingdom and accepted the testing of British experts. Huawei is also willing to agree to sign backdoor agreements with all countries. “I would like to ask, which companies of any country in the world can do this? Which company in the United States can be as glorious as Huawei, and openly say ‘Come on, establish a security network testing center, you send experts to detect and we can sign a no-backdoor agreement,” which company in the United States can do this? So on this issue, Secretary Pompeo judged Huawei by whether it was clean or not, which I find very ridiculous.”

Hua Chunying said that the United States has always claimed to have strong values of democracy and freedom, but now it cannot tolerate the normal survival and development of a foreign private enterprise. “Huawei is such an outstanding private enterprise. Its only fault is that it belongs to China. Isn’t it? The United States, out of strong ideological prejudice, spared no effort to use national resources, abused the name of national security, and even moved out the so-called democratic values. I smeared and attacked Chinese private companies everywhere, and tried to entangle some of his little brothers to chase down Chinese companies. I think the actions of the US have nothing to do with the word clean. What he does is actually a real dirty trick, dirty play.”
