The Wall Street Journal believes that if the current trend continues, China’s production capacity will increase rapidly in the next few years, while the United States’ share in the field of chip manufacturing will further shrink. In 2030, mainland China is expected to become the largest semiconductor production plant.
However, in response to this possibility, Washington has made an unusual response, that is, continuously imposing controls on mainland Chinese semiconductor companies and even using political means to strike.
