Ericsson and Huawei have renewed a multi-year global patent cross licensing agreement, which covers patents necessary for standards related to their products, including 3G, 4G, and 5G cellular technology.
This agreement covers the sales of each company’s network infrastructure and consumer equipment, allowing both parties to use each other’s patents and standardized technologies globally.

According to the current portfolio of intellectual property licensing contracts, Ericsson expects its intellectual property licensing revenue to be approximately 11 billion Swedish kronor for the entire year of 2023.
