EKINOPS, a leading telecommunications solutions provider for telecom operators announced the performance of the second quarter of 2020 (April 1, 2020 to June 30, 2020).

In the second quarter of 2020, EKINOPS’ consolidated revenue was 24.7 million euros, an increase of 1.6%.

Despite the severe damage caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the group performed strongly in the second quarter of 2020, an increase of 16.7% compared to the first quarter.  In the first half of 2020, EKINOPS’ consolidated revenue was 45.8 million euros, a total increase of 1.7% (at a fixed exchange rate, an increase of 1.2%). Among them, North America increased by 14.4% in the first half of 2020.

International business accounted for 65% of revenue in the first half of 2020 (compared to 67% in 2019). EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa (except France)) accounted for 41% of revenue, North America region accounted for 17%, and Asia Pacific region accounted for 7%.  The French region accounts for 35% of revenue.

Same as last year, North America is still the most active region in the first half of 2020, with a growth rate of +14.4% during this period. It is worth emphasizing that the strong results achieved in France increased by 12.4% year-on-year, and growth resumed after the investment of the group’s major customers slowed in 2019.

Didier Brédy, Chairman and CEO of Ekinops, said: “If it were not for the special global situation caused by the coronavirus, revenue and growth would not be so strong. Nevertheless, we are very satisfied with the growth achieved in this particularly complex six months. It is foreseeable that the rest of the year will be more difficult than usual. Even if we see signs of recovery, we are unlikely to achieve double-digit organic growth throughout the year. Nevertheless, we are confident in our ability to restore long-term growth goals. During the crisis, opportunities for value creation have already emerged, and EKINOPS is in a particularly advantageous position to seize these opportunities. The interest caused by the introduction of OTN technology, our virtualization products, and SD-WAN products is undeniable, which should allow us to expand the recovery trend.”
