Ekinops, a leading provider of optical networking, connectivity, and SASE security solutions, announced today that it has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares of Chimere, a French innovative cybersecurity company. Chimere offers a universal ZTNA (Zero Trust Network Access) solution that securely connects all endpoints with enterprise resources.

Chimere’s ZTNA solution serves as a robust alternative to traditional enterprise VPN and firewall technologies, supporting digital nomadism, remote work, and third-party access. Available via a subscription model, Chimere’s ZTNA solution offers options for SaaS (Software as a Service), hybrid deployment, or on-premises deployment.

The combination of the two companies strengthens Ekinops’ value proposition in the cybersecurity domain, aligning with the background of the Olfeo acquisition in May 2025 and fully rooted in the “Bridge” strategic plan, which aims to position the group in the high-growth market segment of cybersecurity SASE (Secure Access Service Edge). This acquisition significantly accelerates the market rollout of Ekinops’ SASE strategy and will consolidate its position as the European SASE leader adapting to market demands in both Europe and beyond.

Through this acquisition, Ekinops has enhanced its SASE product portfolio, joining the elite group of global “Single Vendor SASE” providers and becoming the sole European representative in this category. Additionally, Ekinops is the only global supplier capable of delivering SD-WAN, SSE, and universal ZTNA solutions, all with local deployment options.

This transaction will be conducted in the form of Ekinops acquiring 100% of Chimere’s shares and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2026. Ekinops anticipates that the transaction will not have a significant impact on its 2026 financial statements.

Ekinops CEO Lionel Chmilewsky stated, “We are particularly excited about this acquisition, as it will accelerate Ekinops Group’s ambition to become a leader in European SASE. By combining our technological and commercial assets, we can enter new high-growth markets with truly differentiated product offerings. Chimere already boasts a highly satisfied customer base, and Ekinops looks forward to offering Chimere’s ZTNA solutions to its own customers and prospects.”

Guillaume-Alexandre Chaizy, CEO of Chimere, stated: “The combination of Ekinops and Chimere creates a fully trusted European cybersecurity product portfolio, which is truly a boon for customers in the region. We are very excited to join the Ekinops team and contribute to building a European SASE leader capable of serving a global clientele.”
