Dennis Anthony Uy, CEO and co-founder of Converge, said, “We are planning significant developments in the products and services we provide to our customers, and it is crucial that our infrastructure can support these. Adopting this new technology is essential for effectively managing large amounts of data from IoT applications, cloud services, and future innovations.”
Bruce McClelland, CEO and President of Ribbon Communications, said, “We are pleased to support Converge in strengthening its network, which is recognized as one of the most advanced networks in the Philippines. Our cutting-edge technology provides excellent performance, enabling companies like Converge to enhance their competitive advantage.”
This collaboration will expand nationwide, integrating the most advanced 5nm -140Gbaud transmission chipset from American companies together, increasing the company’s network capacity to 1.2 Tbps per second. This technology was first introduced in the subway and regional stations of North Luzon and Central Luzon.
Now, the above-mentioned optical transmission solution will be implemented at other network infrastructure sites across the country, bringing substantial improvements to the company’s overall data transmission capacity and operational efficiency nationwide.
Uy emphasized that deploying this technology will ensure that their fiber optic network can support next-generation services such as high-speed broadband, cloud applications, and enterprise solutions.
