Alibaba Cloud, a subsidiary of Alibaba Group, announced its latest global infrastructure expansion plan at the Hangzhou Yunqi Conference on September 23, 2026, and launched a series of new AI capabilities to help enterprises build, deploy, and expand AI applications more efficiently. The company also announced comprehensive cooperation with global enterprises such as Panasonic Digital, Unity China, Lion Parcel, Loomi Entertainment Group, and SHAKE to accelerate enterprise innovation through advanced AI and cloud technology.

Global Infrastructure Expansion

In the next 12 months, Alibaba Cloud will set up its first cloud regions in Türkiye, Finland and the Netherlands, and expand its data centers in Malaysia, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, France and Hong Kong. This expansion will further enhance Alibaba Cloud’s global computing capabilities and strengthen its ability to provide localized cloud and AI services to key market customers. Currently, Alibaba Cloud operates 107 availability zones in 31 regions worldwide.

Three major AI solutions released

Alibaba Cloud launches three new AI solutions to help international enterprises build and expand production level applications:

Smart Studio: an out of the box product that helps businesses build a dedicated Model-as-a-Service platform in minutes, providing all the functionality needed to package, price, measure, and bill model APIs under their own brand. Its advanced inference architecture has a throughput 505% higher than standard open source frameworks on the same hardware.

Smart Fusion: An intelligent engine that helps users and businesses achieve state-of-the-art model performance at low cost through a unified standard model API. This engine supports multi model collaboration within a single task, and selects the most suitable available model for collaborative work by analyzing real-time dimensions. By abstracting multi model deployment into a single endpoint, it can help reduce token spending by approximately 50%.

Smart Video: An AI video agent designed for short drama studios and advertisers, capable of automatically creating videos up to one hour in length. Creators only need a hint to transform their ideas into finished products and continuously improve them through natural language. This platform supports multiple video models, including Wan, and supports over 20 languages.

Enterprise Cooperation Cases

Alibaba Cloud’s cloud and AI technologies are helping customers and partners in various industries meet diverse business needs

Panasonic Digital (Shanghai): Collaborating with Alibaba Cloud to accelerate comprehensive digital and AI transformation. By utilizing the Alibaba Cloud Bailian secure access Qwen model, combined with data management tools such as DataWorks, MaxCompute, and Hologres, Panasonic has built a custom capability center to provide professional AI agents for manufacturing, supply chain, and enterprise functions. The achievements include: reducing document time by 80% through automatic meeting minutes, and using an “intelligent comparison” agent to improve contract review efficiency by 10 times.

Unity China: Utilizing Alibaba Cloud Bailian to deploy Qwen and third-party basic models for Unity AI Codely, automating key workflows such as code understanding, real-time editing, and debugging, and supporting cross team collaboration.

Lion Parcel (Indonesia Logistics): Deploying the Qwen VL Plus model through Alibaba Cloud Bailian to automate financial and document processing workflows, significantly accelerating processing efficiency and improving data accuracy.

Loomi Entertainment Group (Malaysia): Integrating visual generative models such as Wan and HappyHorse into its movie grade AI engine Imagination to achieve high-quality video and visual generation, reducing production costs. Both sides also held two AIGC hackathons and trained over 100 local content creators.

SHAKE: Utilizing the powerful computing resources of Alibaba Cloud and the Qwen model, a proprietary AI model is built based on Qwen to provide highly optimized proxy resource planning solutions. Its ARP service will be launched on the Alibaba Cloud market.

AnyMind Group: Reached a strategic agreement with Alibaba Cloud to integrate Qwen into its AI live streaming e-commerce platform AnyLive, enhancing customer problem understanding and real-time response capabilities.
