Adtran has announced its new AI Network Cloud (AINC) interconnect solution, which is a next-generation fiber network platform designed to support hyper scale enterprises, federal agencies, SLED organizations, and enterprises in expanding AI services. This technology, combined with Dell’s artificial intelligence factory, can dynamically adjust the optical network capacity to meet real-time artificial intelligence workloads, achieving seamless and high-speed connectivity from data center to data center, and from core to edge. By supporting tokenized sovereign artificial intelligence networks and dynamic computational allocation, this solution enables organizations to expand their AI programs with greater autonomy, control, and cost-effectiveness.
Jack Yocum, Vice President of ICP and Enterprise Sales at Adtran North America, said, “Artificial intelligence workloads are pushing existing networks to their limits, and data center operators need solutions that can dynamically scale to meet demand. Traditionally, fiber optic transmission infrastructure has been static, limiting the ability to adapt to fluctuating demands. Our new AINC interconnect solution changes this situation by introducing flexible optical transmission that can be adjusted in real-time. Whether supporting edge based artificial intelligence or centralized generative artificial intelligence training, this solution can provide the adaptability required for modern artificial intelligence operations. It is designed to support rapid expansion of artificial intelligence services, ensuring uninterrupted data movement and controlling costs and efficiency. ”
Adtran’s AINC interconnect solution is based on AI driven real-time optimization of optical data transmission, utilizing its FSP 3000 platform to ensure ultra-low latency and high bandwidth. It can improve performance by 50 times, increase GPU efficiency by 20%, and reduce transmission costs by 50%. This solution is integrated with Dell’s AI factory (a comprehensive suite for managing advanced AI workloads), leveraging Dell’s cloud infrastructure expertise to enhance scalability and security. The support for secure token wave fiber enables programmable, policy based service delivery and trusted artificial intelligence ecosystems to span both public and private domains. Adtran provides customized upgrade options for both new and existing customers, including Fast TRX for core deployment and Fast Ramp TRX for edge acceleration, ensuring seamless integration and rapid deployment across various infrastructures.
Ryan Schmidt, General Manager of Adtran Optical Transmission, commented, “Our AINC interconnect solution enables customers to better control their AI service deployment, allowing them to scale without being limited by traditional transmission models. It optimizes GPU utilization, significantly reduces costs, unleashes new efficiencies, and prepares for future artificial intelligence needs. Crucially, it supports autonomous AI strategies, edge computing expansion, and multi domain data compliance, while reducing reliance on very large-scale ecosystems. More importantly, this solution enhances the delivery of unique sovereign artificial intelligence services, providing new levels of flexibility and control. It promotes high bandwidth connections that are crucial for artificial intelligence applications, such as real-time analysis, predictive modeling, and large-scale automation, enabling our customers to overcome the challenges of rapidly developing advanced AI service delivery.”
