Adtran announced that its long-term partnership with GLDS has entered a new stage, launching a billing driven zero touch automation solution for user lifecycle management. With the continuous expansion of broadband and hosted Wi Fi services, manual handover between billing systems, operational support systems (OSS), and home network systems is no longer sustainable. By utilizing GLDS BroadHub ® The ability to coordinate user creation, service activation, and ongoing lifecycle changes across access networks and home networks simplifies operational processes, shortens revenue cycles, and reduces operational complexity. This move enables broadband service providers to gain stronger control in the context of increasing user demand and evolving service models.

GLDS President and Chief Operating Officer Garrick Russell said, “Our collaboration with Adtran revolves around a common goal: to make it easier for broadband operators to serve a growing and increasingly demanding customer base. By integrating BroadHub ® The billing driven automation extends to home Wi Fi, eliminating the manual handover process that slows down activation speed and increases operational costs. Operators can manage user activation, upgrades, and service changes through a single system, and execute them consistently throughout the entire network. This means faster activation speed, lower complexity, and more agile operational models, helping providers keep up with rising customer expectations.”

This new joint solution will integrate Adtran’s Intellifi ® Hosted Wi Fi Platform and GLDS BroadHub ® System integration enables automated billing triggering across the entire lifecycle of users, services, and devices. User creation, service activation, configuration updates, and device changes are all handled by BroadHub ® Directly triggered and automatically applied to access networks and home Wi Fi environments. This supports zero contact activation, simplifies service changes, and ensures consistency in configuration during device replacement or upgrade, including transition to Wi Fi 6 and Wi Fi 7 systems. By aligning billing, service, and Wi Fi workflows based on open standardized interfaces in a multi vendor environment, this integration reduces engineering touchpoints, shortens installation cycles, and helps providers maintain service continuity while growing their network and user base.

Philip Bednarz, General Manager of Adtran Software Platform, commented, “Our new collaboration with GLDS aims to empower service providers to have full control over the entire user journey. Wi Fi has become the core of broadband experience, but it is also one of the most complex areas in large-scale operations. By integrating Intellifi ® By incorporating the billing driven automation framework shared with GLDS, we connect the home experience with the same operational processes that drive network services – using open interfaces to provide providers with choice and flexibility, rather than locking them in rigid closed systems. This eliminates friction, reduces complexity, and achieves true end-to-end control from placing orders to continuous service changes. It provides a more agile model that simplifies current operations and lays the platform foundation for future innovation.”
