Saudi Arabia’s leading digital transformation pioneer, stc Group, has signed a new five-year Master Framework Agreement (MFA) with Ericsson to accelerate the delivery of advanced digital infrastructure and drive nationwide technological adoption in the Kingdom.

According to the agreement, STC Group will adopt Ericsson’s latest product portfolio, including: 5G hardware and software, cloud-native solutions, advanced managed services, and infrastructure and network support (including third-party product (3PP) components).

STC Group and Ericsson have been long-term partners, achieving numerous milestones, such as the successful deployment of one of the first 5G networks in Saudi Arabia in 2019. Under the framework agreement, STC will accelerate the expansion of 5G, as well as the deployment of advanced technologies including standalone 5G, 5G Advanced, massive MIMO, Ericsson radio system products, cloud-native platforms, and network management solutions.

STC Group will also benefit from Ericsson’s managed service capabilities to optimize network performance.
