Telxius, a leading global network connectivity provider, has upgraded its Global Carrier Ethernet (GCE) service, providing flexible bandwidth options for businesses in the Americas and Europe. This service enables businesses and service providers to maximize their investments with greater bandwidth flexibility when connecting critical global hubs and cloud service providers.

Telxius’ GCE service is supported by its global network spanning over 100000 kilometers of submarine cables and ground backhaul across the United States, Latin America, and Europe, powered by Ciena’s advanced optical pluggable plugs instead of traditional repeaters. It is a highly scalable and flexible service, with bandwidth options ranging from 50Mbps to 100Gbps+, designed to meet the high demand of the market for ultra-low latency, high availability, and reliability.

This solution has passed MEF 3.0 certification and is supported by 14 high-capacity submarine cables: Firmina, Tikal (under construction), Mistral, Tannat, Junior, Dunant, Brusa, Marea, PCCS, SAm-1, EllaLink, Unisur, Est Te, and Alpal-2, providing connectivity to multiple points of presence (PoPs) worldwide.
