Ericsson announced that it has extended its global framework agreement on operational services and software with Telenor until October 2024.

The original agreement was signed in 2017, aiming to create a general delivery center for a variety of services, such as network operation (including enhanced automation of network operation center), network design, planning and optimization, primary operation and intelligent on-site operation, project management and network implementation services. As part of the renewal, Ericsson will also deliver its cognitive software for planning and tuning. The framework agreement supports the cooperation between Ericsson and Telenor (Digi) in Malaysia and Telenor (dtac) in Thailand.

Telenor and Ericsson have jointly won the industry award for the achievements of CDC in the past.

Ericsson’s operation engine is an AI driven, data-driven network management service method, which enables Telenor to ensure the next generation connection and allows its customers to benefit from safe and reliable network performance and enhanced user experience.

Telenor and Ericsson are further cooperating to explore customer-centric services in private networks and cloud based services. These services can take advantage of the experience and development capabilities of public delivery centers.
