On August 19, ZTE and Hisense Group signed a 5G strategic cooperation framework agreement in Qingdao. Li Zixue, chairman of ZTE Corporation, and Jia Shaoqian, president of Hisense Group, attended the signing ceremony.

According to the agreement, the two parties will jointly explore 5G and medical electronics, ultra-high-definition video, intelligent transportation and other fields of deep integration, and comprehensive cooperation in the overall solution, operational services and other aspects. At the same time, the two sides will also take advantage of their respective industries to cooperate in the 5G network construction, innovative application scenarios and other aspects to create a 5G industry application demonstration.

On the other hand, it has cooperated with more than 200 industry-leading product providers to launch 5G-based solutions for different industries. The 5G era has helped transform the vertical industry digitally. At present, ZTE has formed 5G+ solutions in nearly 20 industry sectors such as Industrial Internet, Big Video, Internet of Vehicles, Media, Energy, Public Safety, Medical, Education, Eco-Environment, and Transportation, and successfully implemented more than 40 demonstration projects.

2019 is known as the first commercial year. In the field of ultra-high-definition video, Hisense has realized online live test of 5G+8K; in the field of smart medical care, Hisense has just completed the first “5G+4K+3D+MR” laparoscopic surgery in Shandong Province with the completion of the hospital;  In terms of Hisense’s 5G optical module products, it has been widely applied to 5G signal base station applications; and Hisense’s first 5G-enabled smart neighborhood officially released in May has also provided a new model for urban construction.

The strong alliance between ZTE and Hisense Group will accelerate the R&D and commercialization of new 5G applications and effectively promote the development of 5G industry.
