Atlanta and Las Vegas, USA, January 5, 2023 — American CATV operator Cox Communications is pleased to announce that it has successfully launched the mobile service Cox Mobile in the United States. This is the company’s new mobile service for all its Internet customers in the US market.

Cox CommunicationsWith unlimited call and SMS services, Cox Mobile users can use two simple data packages – pay as you go and unlimited data packages – without any term agreement. Customers can also access the network with unparalleled 5G reliability, stay connected to Cox Internet at home, and use more than 4 million online Wifi hotspots of Cox.
Mark Greatrex, President of Cox Communications, said: “The integration of wired and mobile communications has never been more important. Customers believe that Cox is a reliable connection provider, so the introduction of mobile phone services is a natural extension of our services.”
Cox Communications commemorated the successful launch of Cox Mobile at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2023) Media Breakfast held in Las Vegas. Leaders of Cox Mobile discussed the launch and industry trends at the meeting, and predicted that an advertising campaign would be held in the United States later this month.
Cox has a long history in the wireless industry. In 2010, the company used 700MHz spectrum and Huawei equipment to establish its own 3G CDMA wireless network. During this period, it also sold mobile services through Sprint MVNO. However, it closed the business in 2012.
With the launch of mobile services, Cox has joined Comcast, Charter, Altice, WideOpenWest (WOW) and other CATV operators to combine cable services with mobile services.
