Under the guidance of the Shandong Provincial Communications Administration, on October 29, the Shandong Communications Industry Association led four telecommunications companies to convene an on-site meeting to promote the construction and sharing of optical fiber communities across the province in Weifang.

Participants first visited Weifang High-tech City Plaza and Weifang Gaochuang Apartment to build a shared community. The high-tech city square is provided by the developer with a professional communication room and completed the construction of the communication facilities within the red line; the Gaochuang Apartment project is the Weifang Office of the Shandong Provincial Association to coordinate the communication between the operators and the developer, and finally determines the mode of developer’s investment and the tower company’s construction, and the communication facilities in the red line are invested by the developer, and a three-in-one fiber distribution box is provided, and the three operating companies share the indoor distribution system at the same time.

At the subsequent symposium, the Weifang Office, Zaozhuang Office, and Rizhao Office of Shandong Provincial Banking Association introduced the experience of co-construction and sharing of optical fiber communities, and the entry of government approval halls. The participants spoke highly of them and said they would actively learn advanced experience to jointly promote the construction and sharing of optical fiber communities.

The Shandong Provincial Communications Administration fully affirmed the significance of this on-site meeting, requiring all basic telecommunications operators to constantly pay attention to the co-construction and sharing of fiber to the home, further strengthen the co-construction and sharing platform, and use limited funds in effective places to really benefit the majority of users.  At the same time, it is necessary to do a good job in the publicity and implementation of the “Shandong Communication Infrastructure Construction and Protection Regulations” recently passed by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, to further accelerate the construction of 5G, and promote the high-quality development of Shandong’s information and communication industry.
