On January 24, the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee decided to initiate a first-level response to major public health emergencies in Sichuan. ZTE helped Sichuan Telecom to use the latest 5G technology to achieve two cases of 5G remote consultation of new coronavirus pneumonia in the West China Hospital of Sichuan University and Chengdu Public Health Clinical Medical Center for the first time in the country.
After receiving the needs of telecommunications customers, ZTE immediately set up an emergency project team to go to the site of West China Hospital to carry out optimization testing and provide 5G access capabilities for remote consultation systems. According to the site conditions, they use ZTE CPE equipment and outdoor 5G signal to open 5G services, and at the same time carry out indoor coverage point construction. On the 25th, a 5G indoor base station was built and tuned in, and it took the lead in connecting the West China telediagnosis conference room to the remote diagnosis and treatment system.
On the 26th, ZTE achieved another core point of the remote diagnosis and treatment system: the Sichuan Provincial Health and Health Committee’s 5G indoor distribution system, which was quickly constructed, optimized, measured, and opened. After the 5G network was launched, the provincial health committee, West China Hospital and Chengdu Public Health Clinical Medical Center conducted three remote video consultations.
According to the work arrangement of the Sichuan Provincial Health and Health Commission, the 5G remote consultation system will take the West China Hospital of Sichuan University as the central node, and the first batch of 27 hospitals will be admitted to the hospital for diagnosis (suspected) patients. The next step will be to build the nation’s first 5G remote consultation new coronavirus infection system covering the three provinces, cities, and counties of China, and realize a “one network” of remote consultation for frontline hospitals in Wuhan. A follow-up video consultation with the medical rescue team in front of Wuhan will be conducted through the 5G network, so that critically ill patients in Wuhan can also enjoy the expert diagnosis and treatment services of Sichuan Huaxi Hospital.
