Recently, ZTE’s 2019 Global Wireless User Conference and 5G Summit was held in Vienna.  During the conference, ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ) and Hutchison Drei Austria successfully opened the first slicing mall business in Europe, which is also the industry’s first 5G end-to-end network slicing business practice. By opening the slice customization to the vertical industry, operators can transform from a single B2C traffic operation to a diversified slice operation of B2B, B2B2C, and B2B2B, making it possible to deepen the integration of 5G and vertical industries and stimulate the 5G value space.

The 5G Slice Mall solution invites the vertical industry to participate in network slicing and lifecycle management based on the B2B business model. Based on the ability to open up the vertical industry, the solution has the characteristics of slice service level agreement SLA customization, KPI real-time monitoring, enhanced billing and network slice lifecycle management, which can greatly promote the process of 5G commercialization and help the vertical industry to reduce OPEX and CAPEX enhance the end-to-end user experience. In the 5G “Slice Store”, industry users can select a predetermined slice template and set SLA parameters according to industry characteristics, and then automatically deploy and activate network slices in one-click operation. As the number of user’s increases or KPI performance decreases, the system automatically adjusts resources to accommodate changes in KPIs. Currently, the Slice Mall solution is being widely used in various vertical industries to meet various industry requirements.
