According to data released by the GSA (Global Mobile Suppliers Association) in October, 321 operators in 103 countries around the world are investing in 5G in the form of testing/trial, license, network deployment and start-up services. 62 operators deployed 5G technologies in compliance with 3GPP requirements in their networks.

Among them, 46 operators have launched 5G services that meet the requirements of 3GPP, 34 have launched 5G mobile services that meet 3GPP requirements (32 full startups, 2 limited availability startups), and 27 have launched 5G FWAs that meet 3GPP requirements. Or home broadband services (17 fully activated, 10 limited availability launches).

At this stage, 5G networks have spread all over the world. Of the 46 operators that have launched 3G services that comply with 3GPP requirements, five are located in the Americas, seven in Asia Pacific, 20 in Europe, and 14 in the Middle East and Africa.

The five countries in the Americas are: Antel, USA (AT&T Mobility, Sprint, T-Mobile US, Verizon Wireless);

The seven Asia Pacific countries are: Australia (Optus, Telstra), New Zealand (Spark), Philippines (Globe), Republic of Korea (KT Corporation, LG Uplus, SK Telecom);

The 20 countries in Europe are: Austria (3 Austria), Estonia (Elisa), Finland (Elisa, Telia), Germany (T-Mobile, Vodafone), Ireland (Vodafone), Italy (TIM, Vodafone), Latvia (Tele2)  , Monaco Telecom, Romania (RCS and RDS [Digi Mobil], Vodafone), Spain (Vodafone), Switzerland (Sunrise Communications, Swisscom), UK (3 UK, EE, O2, Vodafone);

14 in the Middle East and Africa include: Batelco (Viva), Kuwait (Ooredoo, Viva, Zain), Lesotho (Vodacom), Maldives (Dhiraagu), Qatar (Ooredoo, Vodafone), Saudi Arabia (STC, Zain), South Africa (Rain), United Arab Emirates (Du, Etisalat), etc.
