On October 9, the leading Swiss operator Sunrise and Huawei announced that the multi-user cell capacity of 5G commercial network smartphones exceeded 3.67Gbps for the first time. This is the 5G user’s efforts to improve 5G users after the single-user experience rate of 5G smartphones exceeds 2Gbps. Another milestone in the experience will inevitably lead to more innovative applications of Internet broadband, which will provide convenience and more choices for the life and business development of urban and rural people in Switzerland.

As the earliest commercial 5G operator in Europe, Sunrise has always adhered to the philosophy of 5G serving the Swiss people. Through close cooperation with Huawei, Sunrise has deployed 5G networks in 262 towns across Switzerland, providing 5G high-speed Internet connectivity, HDTV, interactive games and other smart phones and wireless fiber-related products and services.
Sunrise plans to continue to expand its 5G network coverage in Switzerland, enabling 5G services to benefit all Swiss people. In the future, Sunrise will continue to strengthen its cooperation with Huawei in the 5G field, deploy more 5G networks in Swiss towns and villages, and launch more 5G related products and services.
The test is based on the Sunrise commercial network, using Huawei’s 5G commercial network equipment, fully comply with the 3GPP standard specifications, based on C-Band 100MHz bandwidth, through innovative MU-MIMO technology, greatly improved without increasing spectrum and site resources.
Together with industry partners GSMA and GTI, the 10th Global MBB Forum hosted by Huawei will be held in Zurich, Switzerland from October 15-16, 2019. With the theme of “5G Accelerating Forward”, the conference will invite global operators, industry organizations and regulatory agencies, vertical industry partners, media and analysts to come together to explore new ways for sustainable growth in the ICT industry.
